Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the oat milk and butter over medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture reaches 105-115°F. Remove from heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the warm oat milk mixture, pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, nutmeg, salt, and egg until well combined.
- Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the wet mixture and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour and bread flour. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the filling by mixing together the softened butter, vanilla extract, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cloves.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
- Tightly roll the dough into a log, starting from the long side. Cut the log into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the dish with a towel and let the rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffed up.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting by mixing together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, oat milk, and cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
- Once the rolls are done baking, allow them to cool slightly before drizzling with the maple cream cheese frosting. Serve warm and enjoy!
